The primary genetic code specifies the proteins that a cell makes. This second code specifies the placement of the nucleosomes, miniature protein spools around which the DNA is looped and which control access to the DNA itself.
I am sure we are far from learning everything there is to know about the structure and sequence in our DNA. One things for sure though, this is an astounding breakthrough! It can be a very scary thing also because if we learn too much about ourselves it gives certain people access to possible new methods in which to control. You know what they say power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutley.

California roasts in record-breaking heat
SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- Californians braced for more sweltering heat Sunday, a day after triple-digit temperatures smashed records across the state, strained air conditioners and prompted scattered power outages.
Records were set or tied Saturday at all five of the National Weather Service's recording locations in the Central Valley: 109 degrees in Sacramento, 111 in Redding, and 112 in Red Bluff, Stockton and Modesto.
Can we sign the Kyoto protocal yet? Please!?!? (not like it would make much difference now)

Opus Dei financier is found dismembered under bridge
Saint Josemaría Escrivá, Founder of Opus Dei - above picture.
The badly beaten and mutilated corpse of Gianmario Roveraro, one of Italy's reputedly most pious financiers, was discovered "cut to pieces" under a motorway overpass near Parma yesterday, some two weeks after he was kidnapped while returning home from a meeting of the conservative Roman Catholic group Opus Dei
The killing recalled the murder of Roberto Calvi, the Italian financier known as "God's Banker" for his links to the Vatican, who was found hanged fromBlackfriars Bridge in London in 1982
Opus Dei: (wikipedia) whose professed mission is to contribute to spreading the Catholic teaching that everyone is called to become a saint and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity.
Well if I didn't know better I would say it's more like a mafia crime family. Did I say that out loud.......I guess I better not go fishing anytime soon!

Earth faces 'catastrophic loss of species'
The planet is losing species faster than at any time since 65 million years ago, when the earth was hit by an enormous asteroid that wiped out thousands of animals and plants, including the dinosaurs. Scientists estimate that the current rate at which species are becoming extinct is between 100 and 1,000 times greater than the normal "background" extinction rate - and say this is all due to human activity.

Breathing Moonrocks
05.05.2006
The Moon has plentiful oxygen for future astronauts. It's lying on the ground.
OK, just so I understand this correctly, NASA can now extract oxygen out of moon dirt for astronauts to breath but we still can not produce energy without destroying our own planet....... Oh that's right there are no lobbying firms on the moon........YET!
As to be expected, the story about a Hezbollah drone hitting an Israeli warship was tweaked this morning to fit the emerging agenda. “Senior Israeli army officers said Saturday that the rocket which hit an Israeli missile boat off the Lebanese coast Friday night was an Iranian-built radar-guided C-802,” reports the Bangkok Post.

BAGHDAD — Retaliatory massacres by gunmen and bombers linked to rival Muslim sects have left more than 130 people dead across Iraq over the last two days, the latest casualties of what some politicians now are calling an undeclared civil war.
With all the conflicts going on in the Middle East it is quite easy to loose track of a failed war. Since May over 6,000 reported deaths have occured in Iraq. Which doesn't say much for the Iraqi puppet government, or the US and it's failed foriegn policy and "democracy building". When is enough enough?
"The Israeli attacks and airstrikes are completely destroying Lebanon's infrastructure," Mr. Maliki said at an afternoon news conference inside the fortified Green Zone, which houses the American embassy and the seat of the Iraqi government. "I condemn these aggressions and call on the Arab League foreign ministers' meeting in Cairo to take quick action to stop these aggressions. We call on the world to take quick stands to stop the Israeli aggression."
It's pretty sad when a 'puppet government' that we created doesn't even support our (Israelica's) point of view.
During the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina, the media did show some images of the death and suffering created by government inaction, giving viewers an appreciation of the dire conditions. In contrast, viewers have no such understanding of the depth of suffering in the current Mideast crisis.
I have no words.........I.........ehm.

The Iranian President underscored Iran's stand by and support to Syria to face the unjust campaigns and pressures she is exposed to.
Do we have a full middle east war brewing?
Death by Video: Mexico’s Election Fraud Is Coming Undone
Study this photograph from today’s La Jornada. A campaign truck covered with PAN party logos, slogans, and the faces of three of their candidates – the one in the middle is Calderón – is parked in front of a building. From the balcony of the colonial-style structure shines an illuminated sign with three large letters: I… F… E. Citizens have arrived by foot and by bicycle and have blocked the entrances to the IFE building and the PAN truck. Not all of them appear in the photo, but there are 500 of them and they are hopping mad. Trapped inside are at least ten IFE officials who, according to eyewitnesses, illegally entered the building, brought sealed ballot boxes out into the patio, and began to open them, breaking the official seals. They were seen revising anew the “actas” with the vote tallies and recounting the ballots, without, as the law requires, the presence of representatives from all the political parties. The neighbors sounded the alarm and the electoral delinquents have been caught in the act.The FACADE crumble......and it's about time! It's funny though, to think that most Americans see Mexicans as inferior but seeing how they have more resolve to stop corruption as we look the other way makes me think we are sadly mistaken.
JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Officials have closed Beirut International Airport after Israeli warplanes struck runways in the Lebanese capital's Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs, The Associated Press reported
"The detention of Hamas parliamentarians in the early hours of Thursday morning had been planned several weeks ago and received approval from Mazuz on Wednesday. "
-Thats strange I thought it was because Hamas kidnapped an Israeli soldier. scratch..scratch...scratch.... Im confused!
Following is a report prepared by The Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies’ "Study Group on a New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000." The main substantive ideas in this paper emerge from a discussion in which prominent opinion makers, including Richard Perle, James Colbert, Charles Fairbanks, Jr., Douglas Feith, Robert Loewenberg, David Wurmser, and Meyrav Wurmser participated. The report, entitled "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm," is the framework for a series of follow-up reports on strategy.
-Work closely with Turkey and Jordan to contain, destabilize, and roll-back some of its most dangerous threats. This implies clean break from the slogan, "comprehensive peace" to a traditional concept of strategy based on balance of power.
-Change the nature of its relations with the Palestinians, including upholding the right of hot pursuit for self defense into all Palestinian areas and nurturing alternatives to Arafat’s exclusive grip on Palestinian society.
-Forge a new basis for relations with the United States—stressing self-reliance, maturity, strategic cooperation on areas of mutual concern, and furthering values inherent to the West. This can only be done if Israel takes serious steps to terminate aid, which prevents economic reform.
-Striking Syria’s drug-money and counterfeiting infrastructure in Lebanon, all of which focuses on Razi Qanan.
-Paralleling Syria’s behavior by establishing the precedent that Syrian territory is not immune to attacks emanating from Lebanon by Israeli proxy forces.
-Striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and should that prove insufficient, striking at select targets in Syria proper.
-Please not the obvious Neo-Con War Hawks who authored this report! A lot of the same assholes who got us stuck in the Iraq debacle. This "think-tank" created this long ago...I guess the time wasn't right to implement the strategy until now. So when Israel suggests they are only invading Lebannon because their troops were abducted think agian!! Probably another false flag operation that Israel is all too familiar with.

Jesus Christ returns to Earth as he was portrayed in the Gospels at the height of his ministry. Geographically, his manifestation occurs in a blighted urban core in a large American city. Despite his humanity, he is endowed with omniscience and omnipotence. But he will not use them to change the course of humankind. He is here to act as a mortal agent of change.
Shaking off the initial shock, he succumbs to a wave of uncontrollable nausea. Thoughts of institutionalized racism, the wealth chasm, and the military industrial complex evoke a burst of primal and toxic hatred. He retches violently.
I told you so! Clearly Israel cares not what the international community thinks.

Palestinian injuries suggest Israel is using chemical weapons in Gaza
Palestinians carry the body of Khaled Abdel Kareem, one and a half years, during his funeral in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah July 11, 2006. Khaled was badly wounded in an Israeli air strike three weeks ago and was sent to Israel for treatment where he died of his wounds (MaanImages/Hatem Omar)
The ministry called upon the international community and the humanitarian organizations to send an international medical community to examine the victims and confirm the truth about these banned weapons that Israel appears to be using.
What good is the international community when every time Israel commits atrocities the US veto's any UN statement condemning it?
